Phil is Global Head of Sustainability for Walgreens Boots Alliance’s Global Brands division where he’s responsible for the sustainability strategy for a portfolio of WBA health & beauty brands including No7, Liz Earle, Soap & Glory, Sleek, Botanics as well as Boots and Walgreens own label. He also supports WBA's Aromatherapy Associates brand which has recently achieved certified B Corp status.
Over the last 22 years, Phil has had the opportunity to work around the world and support a wide variety of companies in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors including those in retail, FMCG, food and drink, mega events and hospitality, construction, property/real estate, chemical, logistics / transportation, ICT, government, defence and waste management industries.
Phil has developed and managed the delivery of world-class sustainability programmes for M&S plc, Kingfisher plc and the London 2012 Olympic Games & Paralympic Games.
Phil sits on Resource Futures board (a certified B Corp) as well as B Lab’s Standards Advisory Council Multinational Subcommittee, UK Research & Innovation’s Smart Sustainable Plastic Packaging Challenge Advisory Group and Future-Fit Business Benchmark’s Expert Council. He also chaired the creation of BS 8001 believed to be world’s first circular economy business standard.
