I am a veteran strategic consultant who spent the first 15 years of my career in PR consultancy. But as a lifelong love of nature and wildlife, in 2005 I left corporate life to set up as an independent environmental consultant. Following a stint in house Sustainability Strategist for Microsoft UK, I completed my MSc in Climate Change in 2012 at The University of Reading, and went on to expand my work to include all aspects of social, environmental and economic sustainability advisory, largely working with corporate clients. I have worked with many large organisations, helping them develop more purposeful strategies including Aviva, The Body Shop, The Cooperative Group, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Ella’s Kitchen Essity, Jordans Cereals, Kelloggs, Jaguar Land Rover, Renault, Storebrand, Swarovski Group and Unilever on a range of social and environmental impact work.
In 2016 I joined UK leading B Corp ClimateCare as Client Director, and in 2018 I set up Fit for Purpose, specifically to work with organisations to define, demonstrate and articulate their purpose beyond profit.
I see the B Corp movement evolving to become an integral part of how business will help solve the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. So I trained to become a B-Leader, able to guide companies through their B Impact Assessment and identify a framework around which they can build out and improve their positive impact. I am a Fellow of the Institute for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (FICRS), Convener of the ICRS Oxford Hub and act as a mentor for several different sustainability organizations.
